Bishkek, July 8, 2019. /Kabar/. The wrestling team of Kyrgyzstan won 13 medals at the Cadet Asian Championship in Kazakhstan.
The tournament ended yesterday, July 7 in Nur-Sultan (Astana), the domestic athletes won one gold, three silver and nine bronze medals.
The Kyrgyz Greco-Roman wrestling team took third place in the overall team classification. Bakdaulet Egemberdiyev became the champion of the competition in the weight category up to 71 kg . Bekzat Oronkul uulu (80) and Razak Beishekeev (45 kg) won silver. Davran Sadykov (110 kg) and Ulukbek Sansyzbayev (48 kg) took the third place.
Nazik Mirlan kyzy (43kg), Bermet Nurdin kyzy (46kg), Burulsun Bekbolotova (57kg) and Nurzat Nurtayeva (69kg) took the bronze medal in women’s wrestling.
Samagan Ulan uulu won silver among the wrestlers in weight up to 51 kg, Shamil Kalmatov (55 kg), Dastan Urmatbek uulu (45 kg) and Nurman Umarov (71 kg) became bronze medalists.
Wrestling is a combat sport involving grappling-type techniques such as clinch fighting, throws and takedowns, joint locks, pins and other grappling holds. A wrestling bout is a physical competition, between two (occasionally more) competitors or sparring partners, who attempt to gain and maintain a superior position.
