Kyrgyz writer’s book published in London in English

Bishkek, May 19, 2022. / Kabar /. The Hertfordshire-press publishing house published a book of fairy tales in English by the Kyrgyz poetess and writer Nargisa Karasartova called “Leah and Aya the Sewing Doll”, the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The book was published at the expense of a grant of USD 5 thousand for the first place in the category "Publicism" of the competition of the Eurasian Creative Guild "Open Eurasia-2020".

The ministry added that the book was published in the author's translation into English, as it was originally written in Russian. The editor of the collection of fairy tales is Timur Akhmedzhanov (Great Britain), illustrator-artist Svetlana Nasynbatova (Kyrgyzstan).

“Leah and Aya the Sewing Doll” will be available for sale on the nearby electronic platform Amazon.com and is presented for the second book depository in the world - the British Library and the Legal Deposit - the copyright depository, the report said.

This collection of fairy tales is intended for children of preschool and primary school age.
