Bishkek, Jan. 14, 2025. / Kabar /. Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, delivered a speech at an international conference dedicated to the issues of girls' education in Muslim communities, which is being held in the capital of Pakistan, the press service of the Education Ministry said.
In her speech, the minister emphasized the importance of gender equality in education as the basis for sustainable development and noted the successes of girls' education in Kyrgyzstan in this area, about equal access to education in the country.
“At the level of preschool education, conditions are created for the development of children's interest in technology and natural sciences, critical thinking and creativity skills are formed. These steps lay a solid foundation for the further education of girls in innovative areas,” Kendirbaeva emphasized.
The minister also drew attention to the role of artificial intelligence in opening up new horizons for girls' education, emphasizing the need for equal access to innovative technologies for all, regardless of gender. At the same time, the challenges associated with digital inequality and the need to prepare girls for the new realities of the digital age were touched upon. As part of the working program, the minister also attended a reception hosted by Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif. The event brought together high-ranking representatives from various Muslim countries, including ministers, education experts and leaders of international organizations. The issues of strengthening cooperation between states in the field of education, sharing experiences and implementing joint initiatives were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the role of education of women and girls for the sustainable development and progress of Muslim communities.
