Kyrgyzstan adds 1,264 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, July 18, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan on Saturday reported 1,264 new COVID-19 (U07.1 and U07.2) cases, raising the total number of infections to 25,047.

On Thursday the country's Health Ministry took a decision on unified approach in treating COVID-19.

Thus, according to the newly adopted document, the country started to unite statistics of COVID-19 (U07.1 confirmed by laboratory) and community-acquired pneumonia (U07.2 -confirmed non-laboratory but manifests clinically).

The republican headquarters on COVID-19 reported that among the new cases 70 are medical workers, raising the tally of contracted medical workers to 2269, including 600 recoveries.

According to the headquarters, in total 4495 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery and 2742 people recovered, who were receiving treatment at home.

Meanwhile, 4345 people remained hospitalized, 70 patients are in intensive care.

The death toll reached 858 after 73 more fatalities were added.
