Bishkek, June 20, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan’s health ministry reported on Saturday 192 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 2981.
Nurbolot Usenbaev, the country’s deputy health minister told a news briefing that 5011 laboratory tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
He said that 20 patients have been discharged from hospitals. In all, 1981 have fully recovered from the infection, he added.
At the same time, the deputy minister reported 3 new virus-related deaths, raising the total number of fatalities to 35.
Currently, 498 people remained hospitalized, and 5 patients are in intensive care.
In total, 1471 people who have had contact with infected patients are under medical observation and another 12205 people are in home quarantine under the supervision of doctors.
Usenbaev also said recently, the number of patients with coronavirus infection has been growing.
“This suggests that the spread of infection is going on. The epidemiological situation is becoming more tense and if we do not all together fulfill all the sanitary and epidemiological requirements, the situation may worsen even more,” the deputy minister said.
