Kyrgyzstan adds 425 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, Aug. 8, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan added 425 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total infections in the country to 39,587.

Among the new cases 10 are medical workers, bringing the caseload of infected medical workers to 2,938, Ainura Akmatova, the head of the public health care department of the country’s Health Ministry told a daily news briefing.

She said that 517 more patients had completed their period of treatment, bringing the number of recoveries to 31,281, including 2,097 recoveries among medical workers.

Meanwhile 9 lethal cases from the coronavirus were registered over the past 24 hours, raising the country's COVID-19 death toll to 1,460.
