Bishkek, Dec. 13, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan’s Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 has announced on Monday that 1,186 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.
Of these, 583 people were vaccinated with the first dose, while the second shot was given to 598 people.
The total number of doses provided up to today stands at 1,160,968 while 942,368 people have been completely vaccinated.
In addition, to-date 2,536 people received the third COVID-19 vaccine doses in Kyrgyzstan, after revaccination of population started on Nov. 17.
The third dose can be offered to persons with moderate and severe immunodeficiency; persons aged 60 and over who have previously received Sinopharm, Sinovac and other inactivated vaccines; health care workers with a very high risk of infection and transmission of coronavirus infection; for persons who have suffered from COVID-19 disease (including previously vaccinated persons).
Kyrgyzstan started the vaccination campaign on March 29, 2020. The country is inoculating its citizens with Sinopharm, Sputnik-V, Sputnik-Light, Astra Zeneca, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
