Kyrgyzstan administers 9,409 COVID-19 vaccines per day

Bishkek, Dec. 17, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan’s Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 has announced on Friday that 9,409 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.

Of these, 4,055 people were vaccinated with the first dose, while the second shot was given to 5,354 people.

The total number of doses provided up to today stands at 1,178 while 96,709 people have been completely vaccinated.

Kyrgyzstan started the vaccination campaign on March 29, 2020. The country is inoculating its citizens with Sinopharm, Sputnik-V, Sputnik-Light, Astra Zeneca, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. In addition, the country received on Tuesday 1.5 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine from China as a humanitarian aid.

In total, 184,123 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan since the pandemic, 179,205 of them have recovered, 2,779 people have died.
