Bishkek, Oct. 18, 2021 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan has administered 906,552 COVID-19 vaccines since the vaccination campaign started in the country in March, 687,135 of them received the both doses.
According to latest data of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19, 1,495 people have received the vaccine over the past day. 876 people of them were vaccinated with the first dose and 619 people with the second.
Kyrgyzstan inoculates its citizens with Sinopharm, Sputnik V, Astra Zeneca and QazVac.
The country’s Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told on national radio that Kyrgyzstan will receive the Pfizer vaccine at the end of October and the Moderna vaccine in December.
Beishenaliev noted that citizens who have not been vaccinated get sick with coronavirus. “There is no need to be afraid to get immunized, as the vaccine has no harm. Therefore, I want to once again call for immunization against coronavirus,” the minister added.
