Bishkek, Jan. 17, 2022 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan has adopted a new 6th protocol for treatment of COVID-19 coronavirus infection COVID-19, Health Minister of the republic Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said Monday on air of Birinchi Radio.
He added that the new protocol was developed because of the new omicron strain.
"Now all medical workers of the country are familiarized with the new protocol and are already working according to it," the minister said.
New omicron strain of COVID-19 coronavirus infection was revealed in Kyrgyzstan on Jan. 12.
Meanwhile, the country’s total count of infections has reached 190,468 along with 181,072 recoveries and 2,833 fatalities.
