Kyrgyzstan aims to contribute to development of CIS - Akylbek Zhaparov

Bishkek, June 8, 2023. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan aims to contribute to the development and increase the efficiency of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov told at an expanded meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic noted that in a narrow composition, the council held a useful exchange of views on the most pressing issues of the development of the commonwealth.

“Over the past years, the CIS has proved its effectiveness, cooperation in our organization is built taking into account the principles of respect for the interests of the Commonwealth member states. In turn, one of the important areas of the Commonwealth's activity remains the strengthening of friendly and trusting relations between the participating states, the deepening of interaction for the purposes of economic growth, social and cultural development of our countries. I want to note that, according to the principle of continuity, in the year of its chairmanship, Kyrgyzstan aims to contribute to the development and increase the efficiency of the Commonwealth, as well as to continue constructive work on further adaptation of the CIS to the rapidly changing political and economic realities,” he said.
