Bishkek, Nov. 14, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador to U.S. and Canada Bolot Otunbayev held on Thursday a phone talk with His Highness Mahmoud Eboo, the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) Representative to Canada, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation noting the importance of implementing projects in the socio-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, especially the development of mountain regions and education.
Ambassador Otunbayev highly appreciated the assistance provided by the Aga Khan Foundation during the coronavirus pandemic this spring, and asked to consider the possibility of providing humanitarian assistance in connection with the current situation in Kyrgyzstan.
The parties expressed confidence that Aga Khan Development Network projects and programs will continue to promote sustainable development of Kyrgyzstan.
