Bishkek, April 6, 2021 . / Kabar / . Funds in the amount of KGS 2 billion 400 million are envisaged in the budget of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The press service of the Economy Ministry said that these funds are provided to finance contingencies, including in case of a serious deterioration of the epidemiological situation related to the coronavirus infection.
In addition, by Order of the Kyrgyz Government on Jan. 14, 2021, funds in the amount of KGS 500 million were allocated to the Health Ministry for compensation payments to employees of health-care organizations and persons involved in the work in the focal areas.
In the framework of measures on vaccination against coronavirus infection caused by SARS-CoV-2, the Ministry of Economy and Finance is sending project applications for consideration of allocation of funds for vaccination against COVID-19 to development partners (international donors).
The Government also tasked the Ministry of Health and other ministries and agencies to strengthen work with donors in terms of raising funds for combating COVID-19.
