Consular consultations were held in Qingdao (People's Republic of China) between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and China, during which important issues related to cooperation and joint efforts on various aspects of interaction between the two countries were discussed.
According to the Foreign Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic, one of the key aspects of the discussion was the issue of visa liberalization between the two countries. In this context, the parties emphasized the importance of simplifying and speeding up visa issuance procedures for citizens of both countries, which helps strengthen tourism, business and cultural ties.
During the consultations, special attention was also paid to the issues of protecting the rights and interests of citizens and enterprises of Kyrgyzstan and China. The parties expressed their readiness for active cooperation in this area to ensure fairness and legality in the activities of citizens and entrepreneurs.
In addition, special emphasis was placed on the issues of transfer of convicts. The Kyrgyz side expressed a request to the Chinese side for assistance in accelerating the consideration of the issue of transferring convicted citizens from China to Kyrgyzstan. The need to intensify interaction between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China on this issue was noted.
