Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2022 / Kabar /. Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen said in an interview with Kabar Agency that the Chinese and Kyrgyz sides will jointly translate and publish at least 50 classical works of the two countries in the coming years.
She said that according to the “Memorandum between the State Administration of Press and Printing of China and the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan on the implementation of a project for the mutual translation and publication of significant works of classical national literature”, the sides will jointly translate and publish at least 50 classical works of the two countries in the coming years.
The memorandum was signed during President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov’s working trip to Beijing (China). The visit took place from 3 to 6 February. As part of the trip, the head of state attended the official opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games and held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The leaders of the countries discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, energy and other fields.
