Bishkek, March 29, 2022 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and Germany are looking for new ways of cooperation in the areas of healthcare and education, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
Within the framework of the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev to the Federal Republic of Germany, a meeting was held with Executive Director of the Eastern Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations Michael Harms.
At the meeting, the sides discussed issues of Kyrgyz-German trade and economic cooperation, including the organization of joint events at the site of the Eastern Committee between representatives of the Kyrgyz and German businesses.
Priority areas of cooperation have been agreed, such as energy, agriculture, and mining. Separately, an agreement was reached on the joint study of new ways of cooperation in the fields of healthcare and education, the press service said.
Kazakbaev invited Kharms to pay a working visit to Kyrgyzstan. The intention of the Eastern Committee to send a delegation to Kyrgyzstan was also confirmed, including to participate in the upcoming Kyrgyz-German business forum.
A preliminary agreement has been reached to hold the forum in June-July 2022, the Foreign Ministry added.
The creation of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council was noted in a positive way, the first meeting of which is planned tentatively in May-June 2022 under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov.
