Bishkek, Nov. 27, 2017. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and India agreed to promote bilateral projects in the field of agriculture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs press service reported. On Nov. 24 a meeting of the delegation of Kyrgyzstan led by Ambassador Samargul Adamkulova and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of India S. K. Pattanayak was held in New Delhi.
The meeting was organized as part of the implementation of the agreements reached on the results of previous 2015, 2016 visits at the highest level.
These days agricultural producers of Kyrgyzstan - members of cooperative movements and representatives of beginning start-up companies of the country are participating in the 37th annual International Trade Fair "India International Trade Fair-2017" in India.
The sides during the meeting discussed the promotion of bilateral projects in the field of agriculture, the introduction of Kyrgyzstan new products into the Indian market, as well as the exchange of experience and training of personnel in the agricultural sector.
The Indian side proposed the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between agricultural higher educational institutions of two countries. They also invited to visit Indian greenhouses in the northern states, which is similar to Kyrgyzstan’s climate in order to study and research the growth of vegetables in India.
Whereas, Kyrgyz agricultural producers shared their experience in the production and sale of domestic products to world markets. Kyrgyz side presented Indians its organic products of several kinds such as honey, dried fruits, herbal products and dried berries.
