Bishkek, Aug. 19, 2022 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and Iran discussed the possibility of opening a number of agricultural enterprises in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Thus, as part of the promotion of economic diplomacy in Tehran, a number of working meetings were held between Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Iran Turdakun Sydykov and Chairman of the Iranian Feed Industry Association Majid Movafeg Gadiri, Head of the State Agro-Industrial Holding under the Ministry of Agriculture of Iran Mohammadreza Kashifi Nishaburi and Director of the State Investment and Insurance Holding under the Ministry of Agriculture. Economy and Finance of Iran Mohsen Ahmadi.
During the meetings, the prospects for the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the countries and the possibility of creating joint ventures in the Kyrgyz Republic for the production of bottled water, processing and procurement of agricultural products and animal feed for the purpose of subsequent export were discussed, the report said.
Taking into account the interest of the Iranian side in the import of legumes and cereals, the head of the Iranian agro-industrial holding was provided with information about a number of large enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic specializing in sorting, harvesting and selling beans.
The sides also discussed the possibility of insuring Iranian businesses in Kyrgyzstan, as well as goods moving between Kyrgyzstan and Iran, which will protect all participants in export-import operations from unforeseen force majeure circumstances, ensure the reliability and sustainability of investments, and also guarantee compensation for damage.
