Dushanbe, May 1, 2018. / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev met in Dushanbe with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintaev.
The bilateral meeting took place in the framework of the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States
"Kyrgyz-Kazakh allied relations gained dynamism, the active political and economic dialogue, contacts at all levels, which undoubtedly contribute to the content filling of the bilateral partner is established. Strengthening of strategic relations with Kazakhstan is one of the priorities of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy," Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev said.
The head of government stressed that the potential for increasing bilateral trade and developing trade and economic ties between the two countries is huge.
"Our Presidents set a task aimed at increasing mutual trade up to $ 1 billion. This pushes us to closer interaction in order to create mutual trade turnover and eliminate barriers to trade," he said.
In turn, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintaev noted that the plans put by heads of governments of the two states should be translated into reality.
"The Kazakh side is always ready to support any initiative aimed at the development and strengthening of bilateral relations," he added.
At the end of the meeting, the heads of government reached an agreement to hold the next 7th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh intergovernmental council under the chairmanship of the prime ministers to be held in Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation.
