Bishkek, April 10 / Kabar /. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on the establishment of a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic and official / service passports signed on September 24, 2016 in New York City", the Kyrgyz President’s press service reports.
The law was adopted by the Kyrgyz Parliament on March 2, 2017.
The agreement provides for holders of valid diplomatic and official / service passports to be exempted from visa requirements for entry, exit, transit and stay in the territory of the state of the other Party up to 30 (thirty) days from the date of entry.
Ratification of this Agreement will facilitate mutual visits of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Lao People's Democratic Republic, holders of diplomatic and official / service passports, and expand the bilateral legal framework between the two countries that will further develop political, economic and consular relations.
The law enters into force after ten days from the day of its official publication.
