Bishkek, March 20 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and Russia today mark the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reports.
On this occasion foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev and Russia Sergey Lavrov held a phone conversation.
The foreign ministers of the two countries exchanged congratulatory messages.
FM Abdyldaev said that over the past 25 years, Kyrgyz-Russian relations and cooperation have been developing in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance based on an extensive legal framework covering almost all areas of bilateral cooperation.
“Our cooperation is carried out in all spheres of the life activity of states, constructive dialogue and contacts are held practically at all levels - presidential, parliamentary, governmental, between sectoral departments and regions. This contributes to strengthening ties and cooperation for the benefit of our countries,” he said and expressed confidence in the further enhancement of bilateral cooperation in various fields, as well as constructive interaction in regional and international affairs.
Minister Lavrov said that relations of alliance and strategic partnership between the countries, based on traditional friendship and mutual trust, have in recent years reached a qualitatively new level of integration cooperation aimed at improving the welfare of the peoples of Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
He expressed confident to continue practice of constructive contacts, make full use of the potential of Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats in the interests of strengthening peace, ensuring regional stability and security.
