Tashkent, May 9, 2018. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan can open new border checkpoints in the border areas, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported.
These issues were considered during the meeting on May 2-8 in the city of Jalal-Abad (Kyrgyzstan) by working groups of governmental delegations of the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan on delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek State border.
"In order to create favorable conditions for residents of the border areas of the two countries, the parties also considered opening new border checkpoints," the report said.
The meeting was held in a constructive spirit and atmosphere of mutual understanding.
