Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2023. /Kabar/. We aim to continue joint work to intensify trade and economic cooperation and increase bilateral trade, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov said today at a meeting with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is on a state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to him, in recent years there has been a positive trend in mutual trade.
“At the same time, we should recognize that we still have significant untapped potential in this area.
As part of the previously reached agreements, bilateral documents will be signed today, providing for the launch of large joint investment projects,” the head of state said.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the authorized bodies headed by the vice prime ministers of the two countries had done a lot of work to develop joint projects in the mining industry, industrial cooperation, agricultural processing, energy, construction, and infrastructure for a total amount of more than USD 1.5 billion.
“The amount of projects that will be jointly implemented by our countries is impressive,” he added.
