Bishkek, Nov. 16, 2024. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has introduced new technologies in elections and other countries have something to learn from, observer from Turkiye Esin Aydogan of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) told.
During a presentation of the features of elections to local councils he noted that during the presentation he saw all the innovations and novelties of the upcoming elections and the OTS is interested in the elections being held as transparently and democratically as possible. He believes that there are all the prerequisites for this.
“Our organization also conducts observation in other fraternal countries, including Turkmenistan. Kyrgyzstan is different in that new technologies are used in vote counting, which significantly simplifies the work of the election commission. In Turkiye, vote counting is done manually. We could implement this too,” he said. According to the Central Election Commission, international observers came from Turkiye, Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Moldova and Mongolia, and representatives from international organizations and embassies also participate as observers.
