Bishkek, April 16, 2021. / Kabar /. Baktybek Amanbaev has been appointed Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the United States of America. The corresponding decree was signed by President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, his press service reported.
Amanbaev will replace Bolot Otunbayev, who was relieved of his post as Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the United States and Canada by the presidential decree.
51 years old Baktybek Amanbaev has worked in journalism for many years. In particular, he was a correspondent for Radio Liberty, was the chief editor of Kyrgyz-language newspapers, and headed the press service of the Parliament. In 2013-2015 he was the Ombudsman. Later, on October, 2020 he headed the government’s office when Sadyr Zhaparov was a prime minister.
