Bishkek, April 29, 2022. / Kabar /. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov signed a Decree on appointing Jeenbek Kulubaev as Minister of Foreign Affairs, the president’s press service said.
Kulubaev graduated from Moscow Military Institute and Diplomatic Institute of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
From 1992 to 1996, he held various positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 1996 to 1998, and also from 2001 to 2003, he worked as the head of the Department for Asia and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
From 1998 to 2000 he was an adviser to the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in China. From 2003 to 2004, he served as deputy minister of foreign affairs, and from 2004 to 2006 - deputy executive secretary of the SCO (Beijing).
From 2007 to 2013 he headed the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission in Malaysia, and from 2010 to 2013 he worked as the ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China and concurrently in Mongolia and Singapore with residence in Beijing. From 2018 to 2021, he was the ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan.
Also in various years he headed the Department of International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department for Asia and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Prior to his appointment as minister of foreign affairs, he worked as the head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan.
