Bishkek, Aug. 1, 2018. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan appealed to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) due to the fact that Kazakhstan refuses to remove veterinary control at the border, deputy director of the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Security of the Kyrgyz Republic Ashyrbai Jusupov told at a press conference held at Kabar News Agency.
He said that EEC inspectors will arrive in Kyrgyzstan on August 13 of this year.
"Before that, the EEC Commission came several times. The last arrival was in 2016. In addition to Kazakhstan, all the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member countries recognized our system as equivalent. We are looking forward to the final visit of EEC in August. They will again check the veterinary system of Kyrgyzstan," he explained.
The main reason for not removing the control at the border the Kazakh side explained that they have zones of absolute freedom from foot and mouth disease.
"In our country, the territory is also considered free from foot and mouth disease, but with vaccination. This means that we, like other members of the EEU, can export meat products even to third countries," he said.
