Kyrgyzstan asks its citizens in South Korea to be vigilant

Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2024. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has issued an informational statement in connection with the introduction of martial law in the Republic of Korea, the ministry said.

In connection with the introduction of martial law in the Republic of Korea, the Foreign Ministry strongly recommends the Kyrgyz citizens in the Republic of Korea remain calm, exercise maximum vigilance and refrain from leaving their places of residence unless absolutely necessary.

For safety reasons, the ministry asks to strictly follow the instructions of local authorities and completely refrain from participating in any mass events, especially those that may be of a political nature.

The Foreign Ministry is closely monitoring the development of the situation. The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Seoul remains in constant contact with the relevant authorities of the Republic of Korea.
