Bishkek, Feb. 28, 2019. / Kabar /. First Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliev met with Giulia Vallese, representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
During the conversation, Niyazaliev said that Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates UNFPA’s activities and attaches great importance to strengthening full cooperation with the Organization in the areas of reproductive health, maternal mortality, family planning, gender equality, and such negative manifestations as violence against women and children, and also early marriages.
The sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and UNFPA and current problems in the Kyrgyz Republic in the context of the implementation of the country program for Kyrgyzstan for 2018-2022, aimed at achieving the Kyrgyz Republic Sustainable Development Goals.
