Bishkek, Jan.14, 2025. /Kabar/. A retreat meeting of Governors of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) was held on Jan. 12 in Medina, Saudi Arabia.
The press service of the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan reported that the Kyrgyz delegation was represented by Deputy Finance Minister – temporary alternative to IDB Governor from Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Tatikov.
This meeting is dedicated to determining a new course for the next decade, namely the new cycle of the IDB, which will consist of:
- A 10-year strategic framework for 2026-2035, which will articulate the long-term strategic direction and aspirations of the group,
- Two consecutive 5-year corporate strategies that will set out a detailed roadmap for IDB.
At the plenary session, Tatikov emphasized the need for and importance of the 10-year strategy both for Kyrgyzstan and for all IDB members. It was emphasized how this strategy will help strengthen the role of the IDB Group as one of the leading development institutions.
The meeting included high-level consultations, multiple discussions that will determine the future of the organization and the importance of Kyrgyzstan in it.
