Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan discuss co-op issues in healthcare

Bishkek, Oct. 9, 2024 . / Kabar /. A bilateral meeting was held between Ministers of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev and Azerbaijan Teymur Musaev.

The two ministers met within the framework of the 4th Meeting of Health Ministers of member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the Kyrgyz Health Ministry said.

The parties discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of health care. Special attention was paid to the improvement of pre- and postgraduate medical education.

They also emphasized the importance of exchange of doctoral and postgraduate students to improve the qualifications of specialists and develop the human resource potential of both countries.

In addition, practical assistance and exchange of experience between medical institutions of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan were discussed, which will improve the quality of medical care and introduce best practices in both countries.

Cooperation in the field of pharmacy was also an important topic of the meeting.

Following the meeting, Beishenaliev and Musaev agreed to continue active work in all discussed areas to strengthen the health care system and improve medical services in Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
