Kyrgyzstan, Bavaria eye to expand co-op in various areas

Bishkek, Oct. 10, 2024. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Zhaparov met with Minister-President of Bavaria (Federal Republic of Germany) Markus Söder.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet reported that the meeting took place within the framework of the working visit of Akylbek Zhaparov to Munich to attend the meeting of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council and the Kyrgyz-German Business Forum on the theme: “Day of Economy of Kyrgyzstan”.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for further development of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Bavaria, focusing on cooperation in the spheres of economy, education and advanced technologies.

“I am glad to have the opportunity to discuss with you the prospects of cooperation with Bavaria within my visit to this beautiful German federal state with rich history and culture, picturesque landscape, which is also famous for its hospitality,” Zhaparov said.

He also emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Bavaria, noting the significant potential for the implementation of mutually beneficial projects.

In turn, Minister-President of Bavaria Markus Söder noted that Bavaria is open for cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and is ready to consider new initiatives. He emphasized the importance of joint projects in the field of sustainable development and economy, as well as opportunities for expanding business contacts between entrepreneurs of both sides.

In conclusion, the parties expressed interest in deepening trade, economic and investment partnership, wider introduction of advanced German technologies in various sectors of the Kyrgyz economy.
