Kyrgyzstan becomes most popular destination for students from Uzbekistan

Bishkek, Jan. 10, 2023 / Kabar/. In 2022, the universities of Kyrgyzstan accepted 52 thousand 291 students from Uzbekistan, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

According to the presented statistics for 11 months of last year, this figure is the highest. In total, 138.9 thousand students left Uzbekistan for study abroad in the specified period.

The second popular destination was the universities of Tajikistan, which enrolled more than 47.2 thousand students, and the third - Russia, which accepted over 13 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan to study at their universities. Next come:

• Kazakhstan - 10,646 people;

• Turkey - 5,265 people;

• South Korea - 4,645 people;

• USA - 987 people;

• Great Britain - 971 people;

• Belarus - 928 people;

• Germany - 772 people.
