Bishkek, June 12, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's armwrestling team has won second place at the Asian Championship in Cholpon-Ata town, Issyk-Kul Oblast.
According to the press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports, medals were drawn in 121 weight categories separately among men, women, boys, girls, veterans, as well as persons with disabilities. Athletes fought both right and left hand. In total 517 athletes took part in championship.
Kyrgyzstanis won 156 medals, 28 of them are gold, 49 silver and 79 bronze.
The first place in the team event was taken by the national team of Kazakhstan, they have 367 medals. Uzbekistan’s team was among the top three winners – 110 awards.
