Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan cancelled the isolation of contact persons with COVID-19 patients and PCR test for vaccinated arrivals. Such a decision was announced during the meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.
At the meeting the Ministry of Health informed about the current epidemiological situation in the country and the information about the pace of vaccination of citizens against coronavirus infection.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country Edil Baisalov noted the acceleration of the pace of vaccination in the republic, in particular, in Osh and Talas regions.
At the same time, he reminded the meeting participants that, in addition to the incidence of COVID-19, there are many equally important tasks that require the concentration of attention of the people and state resources.
Based on the results of the discussions, the Ministry of Health was instructed to make the necessary changes and additions to the existing algorithms and instructions from Feb. 11, 2022, providing for the abolition of the isolation of persons who have been in contact with COVID-19 patients, as well as the abolition of the mandatory requirement for a PCR test or vaccination certificate against coronavirus infection among citizens arriving on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Thus, when entering the republic, it will be necessary to present a certificate of a PCR test or a certificate of vaccination.
“In the coming months, we will continue an active campaign to vaccinate the population. We need to remain vigilant and stay prepared for a possible worsening of the situation or the emergence of new strains. Our country will not delay the revision of previously introduced quarantine measures. We are interested in the soonest removal of coronavirus restrictions in the region and around the world,” said Edil Baisalov.
