Bishkek, March 11, 2022. / Kabar /. Starting from March 12, mandatory wearing of masks will be abolished in Kyrgyzstan with the exception of health care and public transport facilities, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported Friday.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet Edil Baisalov held a meeting of the Headquarters for Combating COVID-19, where it was decided to abolish the mandatory wearing of masks for students and teaching staff at universities, colleges and other general educational organizations, in shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, catering points, at markets, museums, sports clubs and libraries.
In addition, an importance of continuing the mandatory wearing of medical masks in health care organizations (state, municipal and private), as well as in public passenger transpor was stated.
Citizens are also recommended to observe on a voluntary basis mask regime in crowded places, in large shopping centers, markets, during mass events - in order to prevent COVID-19 and other types of infectious diseases.
Presidential envoys in oblasts of the republic together with the Ministry of Health are instructed to continue an active campaign to increase the coverage of the population with vaccination against coronavirus.
