Bishkek, Jan. 20, 2022 . / Kabar /. No PCR tests will be done, and schools will not be closed in the case of coronavirus infection cases detection, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov said during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on Thursday.
He added that introduction of the lockdown will not bring any result.
"As of today, the Omicron coronavirus strain has spread throughout Kyrgyzstan. We have changed several algorithms. Experts say that now there is no need to do PCR tests. Foreign countries use this experience. If a person gets infected, coughs, and has a fever, it may be assumed he has coronavirus - without a PCR test. This week, the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 will change previous algorithms. We have made political decisions," Baisalov said.
In addition, the deputy chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet urged everyone with symptoms of SARS, influenza and COVID-19 to isolate themselves and start treatment.
"We ask citizens, if they have symptoms, not to go anywhere, not to take a PCR test, but to self-isolate," Edil Baisalov said.
