Bishkek, May 11, 2022 . /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan cannot be considered a COVID-19-free country, Ainura Akmatova, the head of the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan told Kabar News Agency.
She noted that coronavirus infection is a viral disease and is transmitted by airborne droplets.
"In this regard, it is impossible to talk about 100% freedom from the virus. The rise of the disease can be at any time. Since coronavirus-related restrictions have been lifted, the borders are open and people can safely travel not only within the country, but also abroad," the specialist added.
No new cases of coronavirus infection are reported in Kyrgyzstan for the 10th day in a row.
