Bishkek, Aug. 31, 2024 /Kabar/. Today Kyrgyzstan is celebrating the Independence Day.
The celebration in Bishkek has started with a solemn ceremony of raising the national flag on a new flagpole at the central Ala-Too Square. The new 100 meters high flagpole was installed in honor of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region. The length of the flag is 33 meters, which symbolizes the 33rd anniversary of the country's independence.
Traditionally, in honor of the celebration of Independence Day, equestrian games, tournaments in national games and other festive events will be held throughout the country. The celebrations will end closer to midnight. Thus, in the evening, a concert with the participation of foreign and domestic performers, as well as a drone show will be held on the square in Bishkek.
