Bishkek, March 21, 2021 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan celebrates the day of the vernal equinox - Nooruz. This is the date when day and night are equal in duration, therefore many people counted from it the beginning of the new year.
The Kyrgyz call the month of March "Nooruz". If it snows, then this is considered a good sign.
Today every family set the table. Some people prepare a traditional stew, called "Sumolok", from wheat malt with the addition of flour, butter and sugar to treat neighbors. On the eve of the holiday, people clean their houses, pay off debts, put up with everyone with whom they were in a quarrel.
The people think that when Nooruz comes to people's homes, all their illnesses and failures recede.
Today, the Nooruz celebration was held in Supara ethno-complex. The owners of the ethno- complex organized master classes in clay modeling, artistic modeling and embroidery, mini-fair of national souvenirs, a concert, Manas epic narration and national games.
