Bishkek, Nov. 13, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan, together with 170 countries of the world, celebrates the Global Entrepreneurship Week from November 12 to November 18. The organizers told on Tuesday about the significance of this event, and what is awaiting its participants during a press conference at the Kabar News Agency.
The Global Entrepreneurship Week is initiated by organizations Enactus and CAFMI with the support of successful businessmen of the country. Within its framework, more than 40 events will be held throughout Kyrgyzstan, in which more than 10 thousand participants represented by students from various universities will take part. The main purpose of the event, as the organizers have designated, is to attract young people to entrepreneurship, relying on real examples and successful stories of their own peers.
“Together with the CAFMI organization, we took the initiative to hold events in Kyrgyzstan with the goal of mass involvement of young people in business activities. We have, according to statistics, about 500 thousand entrepreneurs registered - which part of them is young, we cannot identify, ”Gulbarchyn Suyunova, Executive Director of Enactus, explained.
So, various interactive platforms will be organized across Kyrgyzstan this week, where students from 33 universities will be able to get answers on business secrets from successful entrepreneurs and turn to them personally for the right advice.
“This whole week is devoted to the issue of unemployment in Kyrgyzstan. By developing entrepreneurship, many issues are resolved, including the issue of relevance for young people - about employment,” Suyunova added.
CAFMI program manager Aziza Ishmakhametova added that Global Entrepreneurship Week is dedicated primarily to popularizing the idea of entrepreneurship.
“Every year, each country chooses its own specific theme, which it promotes during this Week, and this year, the Week in Kyrgyzstan will be held under the slogan “Youth in Entrepreneurship, ” Ishmakhametova said.
The organizers noted that the participants of the Week will be able to extract a lot of interesting things from the upcoming events, and real examples in the face of young successful entrepreneurs will be able to dispel the myths that businesses are only run by the powerful and wealthy.
“I must say, in the CIS countries there is a sad statistic that 95% of a business started from scratch been closed within the first five years. Knowing about this statistic, there are entrepreneurs who open companies. And the statistics are worse than in a casino. They “break down”, go bankrupt, lose money and time, but get up and continue to work. Profession entrepreneur is not easy. It requires strong leadership skills. We need such individuals,” entrepreneur Aslanbek Kenenbayev told, supporting the Week.
He stressed that one should not be afraid of business, but he/she needs to approach it with a worthy baggage of knowledge and skills, because now it is built, first of all, on tactics and precise planning.
