Kyrgyzstan, China debate co-op in cultural and educational sphere

Bishkek, Aug. 17, 2021 . / Kabar / . Ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen met with Deputy Chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Zhyldyz Bakashova.

The press service of the Chinese Embassy reported that during the meeting, the sides exchanged views on cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan in cultural and educational sphere, as well as on interaction between the two countries in a joint fight against coronavirus infection.

Du Dewen congratulated the Kyrgyz people with the upcoming 30th anniversary of independence of the Kyrgyz Republic, praised the achievements of cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan in the field of education, stressing that every year the Chinese side allocated a certain number of quotas of scholarships on various lines to study Kyrgyz citizens in universities of China.

Zhyldyz Bakashova expressed gratitude to the government and people of China for the tremendous anti-epidemic assistance provided, and especially for the coronavirus vaccines provided by the Chinese side.

She also thanked the Chinese side for the scholarship quotas and noted that as strategic partners and friendly neighbors, Kyrgyzstan is ready to expand and deepen cooperation with China in education, culture, etc.

The two sides agreed that the two countries will hold joint cultural events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and China.
