Bishkek, Oct. 15, 2021. / Kabar / . Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan Marat Imankulov held on Friday a virtual meeting with External Security Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Cheng Guoping.
The sides exchanges views on topical issues of regional security, including those related to the situation in Afghanistan, as well as bilateral cooperation in countering terrorism, separatism and extremism in all their manifestations and threats in the field of cybersecurity.
Imankulov and Guoping discussed further development of the inter-agency inter-regional cooperation mechanism Security Dialogue between the Kyrgyz Republic and Xinjiang UAR of the PRC.
The secretary of the Kyrgyz Security Council noted that despite restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, friendly and purposeful working contacts between competent agencies of the two countries continue across the spectrum of interaction between Kyrgyzstan and China.
In his turn, Cheng Guoping noted the importance of developing cooperation in ensuring regional security and deepening good-neighborly relations between Xinjiang UAR of the PRC and Kyrgyzstan.
The sides stated that they will make every effort to strengthen friendly relations between the countries and achieve the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation.
The event was also attended by Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen.
