Bishkek, July 6 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and China are ready to cooperate in the field of standardization, metrology and conformity assessment. This became known today in Bishkek during the meeting of Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Arzybek Kozhoshev and Minister of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China Zhi Shuping.
During the meeting, Minister Kozhoshev said that for many years China has remained one of the main and most attractive trade and investment partners for Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
He said that China is one of the three largest investors in the country, in Kyrgyzstan there are 1,349 companies with the participation Chinese capital.
In his turn, Zhi Shuping noted active cooperation in the sphere of export and import of products, which helps strengthen Kyrgyz-Chinese bilateral relations in the field of trade and economic cooperation.
Also, the Kyrgyz Minister expressed gratitude to the Government of China in providing technical assistance to the Kyrgyz Republic in the construction of veterinary laboratories.
The sides also discussed the issues of cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology and conformity assessment. Harmonization of standards, the procedure for assessing compliance, as well as metrology, will remove technical barriers to trade between the two countries.
The sides also voiced the interest to share experience and train specialists in these areas.
