Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2020. /Kabar/. 320 thousand COVID-19 tests have been carried out in Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Health Minister of the republic Nurbolot Usenbayev told a news briefing Wednesday.
He said that during the past day 1.5 thousand tests were conducted, i.e. PCR-tests were taken.
"The day before yesterday, 725 studies were conducted," Usenbayev said.
The deputy minister emphasized that there are confirmed cases. The situation is stabilizing at high figures.
As of Sept. 2, Kyrgyzstan reported 78 new COVID-19 cases, 44,036 in total.
246 people have recovered over the past day and discharged from hospitals, taking the total number of recoveries to 38,895.
Currently, 670 COVID-19 patients are still in hospitals throughout the country and 4,799 patients are receiving treatment at home.
The COVID-19 fatality rate in Kyrgyzstan stands at 1,060, as no new deaths have been registered in the last 24 hours.
