Bishkek, Aug. 25, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan confirmed on Tuesday 119 new COVID-19 infections, raising the total cases registered in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic to 43,245.
Deputy Health Minister of the country Mademin Karataev said that 48 of the new cases are laboratory confirmed cases and 71 cases are clinically confirmed cases.
In total, 312,501 laboratory tests were conducted n Kyrgyzstan since the start of the pandemic, including 1,141 tests conducted over the past day, Karataev said.
A total of 310 cured and discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, increasing the recovered cases to 36,925.
Currently, 1,021 COVID-19 patients are still in hospitals and 4,563 patients are receiving treatment at home.
The death toll stands at 1057, no new deaths have been registered in the last 24 hours.
The deputy minister also said that the highest cases of the virus were registered on July 6 - 26 and starting from July 27 there is a decline.
