Kyrgyzstan continues to evacuate its nationals from abroad due to COVID-19 pandemic

Bishkek, Aug. 14, 2020. /Kabar/. A plane of the Sibir (S7) company following the Novosibirsk-Bishkek route has arrived Aug. 13 in Kyrgyzstan.

171 Kyrgyz citizens, including young children have been returned to the homeland from Russia, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Ministry reported.

This flight was performed as part of implementation of agreements, reached by the Kyrgyz, Russian Foreign Ministries in accordance with the instruction of President and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the ongoing work on the return of Kyrgyz citizens, located in foreign countries because of temporary closure of borders and the suspension of international passenger air traffic due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the world.

In particular, including pregnant women, women with young children, the elderly, persons who have undergone surgery in Novosibirsk clinics and students - citizens of Kyrgyzstan studying in Siberian universities have arrived.

Geographically, this flight brought back Kyrgyzstanis from Novosibirsk, Petropavlovsk Kamchatka, Vladivostok, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Yakutsk and other cities of the Siberian Federal District.

Work on the return of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, located abroad and willing to return to their homeland, continues.
