Kyrgyzstan creates group for reconciliation of data from ballot boxes and manual counting

Bishkek, Dec. 2, 2021. / Kabar /. The Central Elections Commission (CEC) of Kyrgyzstan is creating a group for independent reconciliation of data from scanned ballot boxes (SBB) and manual counting.

The CEC press service reported that the group will include representatives of political parties.

The Central Elections Commission together with the Civic Control Committee held a meeting with representatives of political parties participating in the parliamentary elections and the media.

Representatives of parties and mass media were informed about the course and order of summarizing the results of voting, and explanations were given for the mechanical error which had occurred during the display of data on the website on Nov. 28, 2021.

The CEC explained that the manual vote counting by the district election commissions, which was conducted with the participation of representatives of political parties and candidates, as well as public observers, was completed by today.

District election commissions have now finished uploading the data from precinct election commissions to the server, which are subsequently published on the website.

Following preliminary results of Nov. 28 parliamentary elections, 6 political parties may enter the Jogorku Kenesh.
