Kyrgyzstan creates headquarters to supervise election processes

Bishkek, Dec. 24, 2020 / Kabar /. In connection with the holding of early presidential elections, a headquarters was organized to supervise the course of election processes, Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Kurmankul Zulushev told at a meeting of the Security Council.

“Today, the General Prosecutor's Office works closely with all competent authorities to conduct fair and transparent elections. A special headquarters has been organized, it is responsible for overseeing the course of election processes. They must ensure the legal rights of citizens, ensure that there is no use of administrative resources, violations by candidates and other offenses. Headquarters have been established in all regions. The main goal is to ensure the transparency and legality of the elections,” he said.

Also, the prosecutor general warned that in case of violation of laws during campaigning work, urgent measures will be taken.
