"We agreed to strengthen practical cooperation in the trade, economic and investment sectors," Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev told reporters following talks with Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlic Radman, who is on an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
"Today, my colleague from Croatia and I discussed the entire spectrum of cooperation within the framework of negotiations in narrow and expanded formats. During the talks, we discussed strengthening the Kyrgyz-Croatian cooperation partnership and its prospects," Kulubaev said.
The Kyrgyz minister noted that in 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries, this is the first official visit of the Croatian foreign minister to Kyrgyzstan. "We highly value our cooperation, which is developing in a positive direction. I can say with confidence that we have all the opportunities for close and mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation,” the minister said.
He also noted that during the talks the sides reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation and outlined steps to strengthen and develop them. The parties also agreed to take measures to make bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Croatia even more fruitful.
“We came to a consensus that it is necessary to strengthen practical cooperation in the trade, economic and investment sectors. We discussed important sectors of the economy, such as tourism, agriculture, energy and its processing. We also discussed regional and important global issues that were on the agenda during the talks. We also had a productive exchange of views on current global issues,” he concluded.
Within the framework of this official visit of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Gordan Grlić Radman to the Kyrgyz Republic, a business forum was held, which was attended by business representatives of the two countries.
